Review Week 5

Line
Lined are used in this advertisement to show depth. They show that the racks keep going back into the tunnel. This makes the audience seemed freaked out about the subway .  The advertisement make the lines look like the lines (tracks)  keep going and never end. Therefore, the lines help show depth and scare the readers into not getting to close to the tracks, so they wont hurt themselves.
Shape
In this Perfume ad, shape is used. It makes the perfume bottle look very clean and sharp.  Also, it shape is used to tell the readers what the perfume comes in. The shape makes the perfume come across as more mature. It targets a larger age group.

Space
The advertisement is an example of the element space. Space is used to guide readers to the words (the most important part). It also is used to how the rod and how if you are driving drunk you end up off the road. The space shows where you should be, not where you will end up.
Texture
The icicles used as her hair show texture. They show that when you drink this slurpee  it is so good your hair will stand up. Because her hair is icicles, that shows that the drink is very cold and you could get a brain freeze. This targets younger viewers.

Value
This poster of Marilyn Monroe is targeted towards an older audience. The use of value shows that this is very simple, but can mean a lot. Also, it looks very sophisticated with only back and white. Since she is in white, and the background is in black, it makes her pop out more.
